About
Wood-Ridge Recreation Youth Programs offers a wide range of activities, including Babe Ruth Spring and Fall Baseball, American Legion Baseball, Basketball, Football and Cheering, Girls Softball, Soccer in the fall and indoor seasons, Track and Field, and Wrestling. The program also includes Summer Recreation, toddler and pre-school classes for KinderDanceNJ, preschool and youth sports and tennis programs with USA Sport Group, USA Sport Squirt Classes, and USA Sport Parents & Me. Additional offerings include exercise classes, yoga classes, Zumba classes, Bingocize, Tai Chi, and Men's Softball, with all registrations completed online only and subject to league rules.
• Schedule: The Recreation Office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Wood-Ridge Recreation Youth Programs are overseen by the Board of Recreation, which includes Chair Dennis Brubaker, Vice Chair Barbara Fischkelta, and members Mike Kaseman, Ray Crews, Lori Ann Iacovino, Patrick Ambrosio, Jon Wollerman, and Alternate Member #1 Jason Cata. The Board of Recreation Council Liaison is Councilmember Ezio Altamura, and the Board of Recreation Moonachie Liaison is Ed Monti. The program lists coaches certification information and provides contact by telephone at 201-939-0202 (Option 2) and by fax at 201-939-1215. For 2026, Board of Recreation meeting dates include a reorganization meeting on 2/4/2026 at 7:30 p.m., followed by meetings on 3/11/2026, 4/8/2026, 5/13/2026, 6/10/2026, 7/8/2026, 9/9/2026, 10/14/2026, 11/4/2026, and 12/9/2026, all at 7:30 p.m., with no August meeting.
