About
CampCare Nevada includes daily activities such as arts and crafts, performing arts, sports and recreation, conservation projects, swimming, waterfront activities, safety and wildlife sessions, and history-focused activities. Campers move through three activity groups each day that are determined by age and ability, and the curriculum focuses on outdoor activities, self-care, and socialization.

• Schedule: One session from Monday July 13 to Sunday July 19, 2026
CampCare is a camp that began in Reno, Nevada in 1971. CampCare’s mission is to provide youth and young adults with mild cognitive and developmental delays recreational and educational opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment while giving caregivers respite. CampCare provides a special time when individuals with special needs make friends, have fun, and explore their gifts and talents in a warm, nurturing environment. CampCare celebrates individual differences and focuses on the needs of each camper, with a tradition of giving individual attention as well as offering small group activities in a caring atmosphere. CampCare is a non-sectarian and non-profit camp and is now utilizing the Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center on Lake Tahoe. Cancellations made within one month of the camp start date or withdrawal from camp for any reason result in forfeiture of all paid tuition, and refunds are not offered in these cases.
