Wild Horse Children’s Theater offers performing arts classes, musical theater, and educational programs in the theatrical arts. The program includes Rising Stars productions and Mainstage productions as part of its high-quality live theater and outreach programs in the community.

Wild Horse Children’s Theater is part of Wild Horse Productions, a non-profit organization formed in 2007 with the mission of enhancing and enriching the community through performing arts classes, high-quality live theater, outreach programs in the community, and other educational programs in the theatrical arts. Wild Horse Productions is comprised of two divisions: Wild Horse Children’s Theater for youth audiences and Wild Horse Stage Company for adults and young adults. Wild Horse Children’s Theater “Rising Stars” productions involve younger performers ages 4–14 and their families in musical theater, and junior productions include both beginners and grade-school participants. WHCT “Mainstage” productions, for ages 5–18, include high school performers. Wild Horse Children’s Theater has a Junior Theater Festival Performance Troupe that clinched top honors at the Junior Theater Festival West in Sacramento, a renowned event that celebrates student-driven musical theater programs from across the globe. Wild Horse Productions notes “20 Seasons of Award Winning Theater 2007–2026,” and Wild Horse Children’s Theater is recognized for an award-winning performance at Junior Theater Festival West 2025.
The leadership team for Wild Horse Productions includes Carol Scott (Executive Director), Alan Catron (Musical Director), Michelle Van Geel (Executive Producer and Wild Horse Productions Board 2025), Tara Burke (Marketing Director Light Operator), Robin Kato-Brong (Director/Choreographer), Don Burke (Technical Director Sound Operator), and board members Rachel Bennett, Belina Holub, Stephanie King, Lacey Carey, Hilary Reynolds, Baylee Spear, Nicole Tradup, and Genevieve Sanders for 2025. Wild Horse Productions is the resident company at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City, NV. Wild Horse Stage Company, the adult division originally created and spearheaded by Jeffrey Scott, produces small and large scale contemporary theater shows for adult and young adult performers and audiences in Northern Nevada and continues Jeffrey Scott’s work on stage and in the community.
