About
Adventure Camp offers activities that include rock climbing at the community center. The program is in place for parents who need childcare when school is not in session. Snack is provided for each child each afternoon, and in cases of allergy or nutritional concern, participants may bring their own snacks.
• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: When offered, Adventure Camp operates Monday–Friday from 7:00am–6:00pm, with enrollment by the week and additional single Adventure Camp Days on specific dates.
• Price: Winter & Spring Break Camp registration is $132 per 4-day camp, $165 per child per 5-day session, and $33 per Adventure Camp Day, with cancellation fees of $25 per child for each cancelled 5-day session, $20 per child for each cancelled 4-day session, and $5 per child per Adventure Camp Day.
Participants are requested to bring a lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, and hat each day in a single backpack or bag that can be fully closed, and all items from home should be labeled with the participant’s first and last name. Participants are asked to leave personal items such as electronic devices and toys at home. Early registration is available online beginning September 1, and Douglas County Recreation offers three ways to register: online, in person, or by phone.
Winter Break Adventure Camp is scheduled for Tuesday–Friday, February 17–20, 2026, with additional Adventure Camp Days on Monday, March 2, 2026, and Friday, March 27, 2026, and Spring Break Adventure Camp is scheduled for April 21–24. Douglas County Recreation Division oversees Adventure Camp as part of a variety of recreational activities, programs, and events for all ages across the county. The program’s mission is to continue to create and preserve quality parks and recreation opportunities, serving people of all ages and interests, that positively affect the community and enrich life.
