In 2018, Code Central created a place where youth can go to learn, grow, have fun, and be around others doing the same thing, with guidance from a knowledgeable and friendly instructor. Its mission is to create opportunities for youth to learn, explore, and develop valuable skills in a collaborative environment, and its vision is to be recognized as a premier location providing valuable learning opportunities for youth to develop tech skills. Code Central is described as Nevada’s most trusted and accredited tech camp and has a 5.0 rating on Google. Eric Mendelsohn received the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada Outstanding Community Partner Award in 2019 and the Vegas Top Tech Executive Community Exemplary Award in 2018, and he served as a Writing Team Member for the Nevada Department of Education K-12 Computer Science Standards in 2018, an Advisory Board Member at Lied STEM Academy Middle School, and a School Organizational Team Member at Glen Taylor Elementary, Wallin Elementary, and Elise Wolff Elementary.
