Henderson Bulldogs Basketball is a family run organization that limits enrollment to keep coach-to-player ratios low and sets a maximum number of players per team time slot. The program describes itself as Henderson, NV's premier youth basketball training program and uses the motto, "We don't label and we don't limit. We just teach, encourage and repeat!" Personal training sessions are limited to a maximum of four players per one-hour session.
The leadership team includes Club Director David Persin, who founded one of the very first club basketball teams 25 years ago, shooting pro and coach Goose Persin, and dribbling pro and coach Sam Persin. Goose Persin was a college scholarship player and was one of the best high school shooters in the nation, leading his team to its first ever Section Championship. Sam Persin has been involved in coaching, refereeing, running city and adult leagues and teams, and private training for more than 15 years. The organization recently relocated from California, where they founded one of the original club basketball organizations, the East Bay Bulldogs, 25 years ago.
Henderson Bulldogs Basketball states that it is dedicated to training boys and girls in the game of basketball, with a focus on teaching and reinforcing fundamentals and simulating competitive situations so players can think and react appropriately and quickly in actual game play. The program states that every child in the program deserves their best efforts to maximize individual confidence and potential and that they preach an attitude of perseverance towards the confidence to ultimately achieve excellence. They describe themselves as a local, family run organization that considers players and their families as part of their family.
