Breakthrough Basketball began in 2006 as an online content provider and started offering skill development camps and training in 2010. Breakthrough Basketball was founded by brothers Joe and Jeff Haefner along with their father, Dennis, and the trio continues to lead the business. The leadership team includes Co-Founders and Owners Joe Haefner and Jeff Haefner, President of Camp Operations Dustin Pierson, Director of Coach Development and Lead Instructor Jim Huber, and Director of Camp Operations Kara Rost. The program states that its mission is to help athletes dramatically improve their skills, develop a passion for the game, learn character and life lessons such as resiliency, gratitude, and mental toughness, and develop a lifelong love for physical activity and fitness.
