CCSD magnet schools say they nurture each student’s unique abilities through specialized programs that promote creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. As of 2024, 45 magnet and Career and Technical Academies continue to promote diversity and prevent racial isolation.
The deadline for on-time applications for the 2026–2027 school year has passed, but families may still submit a late application. Student must have a submitted application and be selected via the lottery by August 21, 2026 to be eligible for enrollment in a magnet school.
