Teachers and staff undergo extensive training on health and safety practices, including pandemic-response protocols, and are trained in first aid and CPR. Teachers and staff members are trained in child development, early childhood education, or a related field, and criminal background checks are conducted on staff. The Site Director is Sarah Lewis. The program states a mission of offering activities that combine fun and learning, together with the safety and convenience of a high-quality program right inside the school, and offers flexibility to extend the learning day before and after school, including a Champions Hour option for kids who need to wait for older siblings to get released from middle school before walking home.

The program uses a wellness screening located near the Family Communication Area, and only authorized staff and families may enter sites. All sites include smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, and cleaning is done with safe, non-toxic cleaning products. Most sites offer breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and menus satisfy applicable federal and state nutrition guidelines where meal service is provided. All children must be signed in and out on a paper-based roster and/or computer system. Outdoor play is supervised and conducted only on safe, secure outdoor play spaces available at the school or program location, and each site has an emergency evacuation plan that is tested frequently.

Families are asked to refrain from posting photos or videos that contain images of children other than their own on the Internet. Written authorization must be on file at the site prior to a child’s release to anyone, and families are responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and current primary and emergency contact and release information.
