Stacy Carrero has owned Desert Gymcats in Las Vegas for over 25 years, since 1998, and she began as the owner of Gym Cats in Yonkers, New York in 1976. The leadership team includes Stacy Carrero, owner of Desert Gymcats; Cassie Rice, owner of Gymcats; and Lauren Rice, manager of Desert Gymcats. Cassie coached Olympic medalist Tasha Schwikert and has been named USOC Developmental Coach of the Year, 2000 USA Coach of the Year, 2001 International Elite Coach of the Year, 2001 USAG Coach of the Year, and Regional Coach of the Year for six consecutive years from 2008–2013. The stated mission is to create an enriching and inviting environment that encourages students to learn and progress in a fun manner. The program notes that it is fun for kids of all ages, offers Free Baby Gym and no-obligation trial classes, and states that the gym puts kids first, strives to create a positive environment where children of all ages are able to successfully learn technical skills, and wants every child to have fun while reaching their goals.
