School Outreach Programs includes hands-on activities, demonstrations, all materials, expert museum educators, and age-appropriate presentations. The program brings educational activities to classrooms for Kindergarten through 9th Grade and includes topics such as Paleontology, Ocean Life, and Entomology. It also brings taxidermy, fossils, casts, and other specimens from the museum's collection.

About the provider
The museum was founded in 1989 and opened in 1991. It was accredited by the American Alliance of Museums in 2011 and became a Smithsonian Institution Affiliate in 2015. The museum expanded its educational programs in 2020 and was serving 90,000+ visitors annually in 2024. Its mission is to inspire a better understanding and appreciation of the natural world, the sciences, and ourselves through educational exhibits, programming, and research.
Affordable rates. A requested outreach session includes options for Title I School, Homeschool, or N/A accommodations status. Program topic choices: Paleontology, Ocean Life, Entomology.
