Established in 1944, the YMCA of Southern Nevada is one of the region’s longest-serving nonprofit organizations. Las Vegas YMCA Youth Programs list several features, including free group fitness classes, personal and team training, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, an accredited preschool, youth camp offerings, free kids gym while adults work out, community health programs, family engagement events, and military and veteran memberships. Reported participation figures include 43,714 members of the Las Vegas YMCA, 168,231 active program participants, 26,866 members who received financial assistance, $4.8 million in subsidies to support participation, 2,536 kids who attended summer camp, and 52,041 free meals and snacks served. The organization states that it works side-by-side with neighbors so that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
