Swift Sportsdome Youth Basketball Leagues offers a youth basketball league with indoor games that include skill development, skill evaluations, team practices, and a championship playoff tournament. Every player takes part in a minimum of 8 games and 8 hours of team practices during the league.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: 2–3 weekly practices/games with a minimum of 8 games and 8 hours of team practices per session
• Price: $172 fee includes NBA jersey
The league is an official Jr. NBA program and is organized by @sierranevadabasketball, with play hosted at both NevDex SportsLab and Swift Sportsdome. Each player attends a mandatory 90-minute evaluation session so teams can be formed based on age and skill level, and every player wears an official NBA team jersey for practices and games with guaranteed playtime. Financial aid is available to support families with limited financial resources for youth sports programs.
All coaches must complete and submit both a background check form and a coaches code of conduct form, and a waiver must be filled out for each child. All adult players must have a current membership and a valid player card to participate in any league game, and players must present their player card to staff or the referee before each game. Cleats are not allowed, and a good pair of athletic or turf shoes is suitable for the playing surface.
One testimonial from coach Don Millare of the Reno Hype Program states that his team always has access to the facility, that it has become their home, and that in his opinion it is the best sports facility in the Reno area, with owners who treat it as if it were their own child.
