Northern Nevada Sports & Recreation

Northern Nevada Sports & Recreation offers youth sports for kids of all ages and abilities, high school sports, school break camps, an after school program, a before school program, and camp programs. It also offers youth flag football and basketball in the evenings, plus peewee programs for ages 3 to 5 on Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

• High School Sports — High School kids · Provides high school kids the opportunity to participate in organized sports regardless of if they play for their respective schools.
• School Break Camps — Enrich the body and nourish the mind with activities and field trips, including different sports, art, and activities.
• After School Program (ASP) — Counselors oversee the after school program.
• Before School Program (BSP) — Counselors oversee the before school program.
• Camp Programs — Counselors oversee camp programs.
• Youth flag football — Evenings between 5:30-9:30pm
• Basketball — Evenings between 5:30-9:30pm
• Peewee programs — ages 3 to 5 · Saturdays from 9:00am-1:00pm

About the provider

Northern Nevada Sports & Recreation was formed in 2012. Its mission is bringing the community together in a positive, active, and enriching environment. The organization states that partnerships with the City of Reno and City of Sparks provide fields and other resources that enable it to run its programs, and it states that it is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Applicants must pass a background check prior to employment. Child care staff are required to be CPR/First-Aid certified, which can be completed within the first two weeks of employment if not already certified.
