Story Hour at theREP is an in-person story hour series where students listen to stories read by Barbara Howard. Each hour-long session contains two stories and includes accompanying activities to immerse students in the story. The series is rich with content on culture and diversity by and about the POC community.

Barbara Howard, a professional actress and elementary school teacher, helms the story hour series. Story Hour at theREP is part of the Neighbors for Neighbors community bridge program, whose creative endeavors include a community holiday party, a backpack program, and a theatre arts club at Arbor Hill Elementary. theREP was named a Spotlight Beneficiary of the 3-day 2026 Albany Chefs' Food & Wine Festival: Wine & Dine for the Arts.
