About

The Tree House Enrichment and Event Studio offers a play-based preschool, a Homeschool Leadership group, summer camp, and hands-on playful learning that includes themes like wild art, dinosaurs, little scientists, and princesses and knights. The program also hosts events and birthday parties, including premium birthday parties suited for kids 7 and under, and special events where characters may show up and holiday events. Daily activities include a play-school style with scissors, glue, glitter, paint, and no computers, with hands-on activities and sensory-rich experiences that build gross motor and fine motor skills.

• Ages: 2–8 years old

In 2020, The Tree House Enrichment and Event Studio was founded by Program Director, Early Childhood Education Advocate and Founder, Mrs. Michelle Waters. The program follows a mix of Montessori, Reggio, and child-led philosophies, with preschool and pre-k described as “the way it's meant to be,” and a drop-off program for ages 5–8 that promotes leadership qualities while learning through hands-on play. The mission states that learning through play is the basis of each and everything done at The Tree House, that childhood is sacred, messes are mandatory, and learning is fun.

Michelle Waters continues to take professional development courses in classroom management techniques and play-based learning methods and studies the conscious discipline method. She is a member of the New York Association of Education for Young Children and uses her knowledge of the Montessori method to create a unique learning experience. The environment includes multiple elements that build skills while addressing kids with sensory needs, with small class sizes and a focus on fostering social-emotional skills with responsive parenting techniques.

One parent describes The Tree House as having an amazing staff where teachers care about each child as their own, are compassionate and understanding, and offer activities that build gross and fine motor skills, especially for kids with sensory needs. Another parent notes that the play school program uses a play-school style with scissors, glue, glitter, and paint, with no computers and “letting kids be kids,” and shares that their child is growing academically and personally, including self-confidence, independence, manners, and kindness. A parent testimonial states that Albion is blessed to have The Tree House.
