About
The Tree House Enrichment and Event Studio offers a play-based preschool, a Homeschool Leadership group, and hands-on themes such as wild art, dinosaurs, little scientists, and princesses and knights. The program also hosts events, birthday parties, summer camp, and special events with characters and holiday events, with birthday parties built around play, connection, and wonder and premium parties suited for kids 7 and under. Daily activities include a play-school style with scissors, glue, glitter, paint, and other materials, with no computers, and the environment includes multiple things that build skills while addressing kids with sensory needs, along with activities that build gross motor and fine motor skills.
• Ages: 2–8 years old
The Tree House Enrichment and Event Studio offers hands-on playful learning for children ages 2–5 and a drop-off Homeschool Leadership group for ages 5–8 that promotes leadership qualities while using hands-on play. The program uses an innovative curriculum that stimulates all learning domains through hands-on activities and sensory-rich experiences, with small class sizes and a mix of Montessori, Reggio, and child-led philosophies. Learning through play is the basis of each and everything done at The Tree House, with a focus on fostering social-emotional skills with responsive parenting techniques, and the program states that childhood is sacred, messes are mandatory, and learning is fun. The Tree House describes itself as an early childhood enrichment and event studio that loves to be the place that provides the loud and the messy.
Program Director, Early Childhood Education Advocate, and Founder Mrs. Michelle Waters leads the program. Michelle continues to take professional development courses in classroom management techniques, play-based learning methods, and the conscious discipline method, and she uses her knowledge of the Montessori method to create a unique learning experience. Michelle is a proud member of the New York Association of Education for Young Children.
The Tree House began in 2020. One parent describes The Tree House as an amazing place with an amazing staff, noting that the teachers are compassionate and understanding, care for children as their own, and offer an environment that builds skills and addresses sensory needs, with daily activities that build gross and fine motor skills. Another parent shares that a two-year-old in the play school program has had an incredible experience, highlighting the small class sizes, the play-school style with materials like scissors, glue, glitter, and paint and no computers, and teachers who are caring and treat children as if they are their own.
