Key to My Art opened in 2015, and Key to My Art, Inc. has worked with libraries for over 6 years. The program says it provides materials and instruction in a positive, encouraging environment. The owner, Riesa, is a New York State certified Art Teacher and Art Therapist. She earned a second Master's Degree in Art Therapy in 2019 and is now a practicing Art Therapist.
The studio says there is no wrong in art, does not encourage coloring in the lines or trying to make things look perfect, and wants art-makers to feel comfortable and creative.
