Westchester County Parks Children's Camps offer children's camps and programs that include sports, entertainment, and educational and community events. Campers can take part in activities connected to golf, pools, beaches, cricket, pickleball, an amusement park, working farms, historic sites, public gardens, nature centers, trailways, and hiking. The program also connects with events such as Family Fun Days, DJ Days at Pools and Beaches, Sundaes in The Park, Screenings Under the Stars, Cultural Heritage Celebrations, and the World Cup Final watch experience.
Westchester County Parks Children's Camps are part of a parks system that includes over 50 park facilities on more than 18,000 acres of greenspace, with six championship golf courses, five pools, three beaches, a cricket field, pickleball courts, a sports and performance arena, two interpretive working farms, a public garden, six nature centers, and three major multi-use trailway systems. The broader parks system also offers programs and events such as the Pints and Pups Summer Concert Series, Free Wellness Series, American Mahjong Open Play, a Senior Dance Party, Blue Mountain Reservation’s 100-mile Bike Challenge, Bike the Bronx River Parkway at Bicycle Sundays, and the Mall Walk at the Westchester. Westchester County Parks has earned CAPRA re-accreditation from the National Recreation and Parks Association five times. The conservation division works with environmental and historical agencies, organizations, and volunteers. Westchester County Parks also offers an app that families can use to explore parks, register for camps, book golf outings, find activities, and get real-time updates.
