Auburn Public Theater Education Programs and Summer Camps offers summer camps and year-round learning in filmmaking, theater, music, and other creative arts for children and adults. The program includes performing arts classes, film and cinema activities, theater and music experiences, and chances to take part in live performance, open mic night, and other arts education and community events.
Since its founding in 2005, Auburn Public Theater has welcomed more than 150,000 patrons. The organization’s mission is to enrich the social, cultural and economic growth of the region by bringing people together through affordable access to live performance, cinema, arts education, and community events. Auburn Public Theater offers affordable classes and summer camps in film, theater, and music, with tuition assistance, full and partial scholarships, and free performing arts classes provided in partnership with Auburn Public Schools and community centers, including support for children from economically and culturally underserved families throughout Central New York. Auburn Public Theater partners with more than 40 organizations and schools every year, and many local organizations, schools, and community groups use its spaces to hold meetings or presentations, stage shows, teach classes, screen films, or host parties. The education programs and camps operate under the leadership of Artistic Producing Director Angela Daddabbo.
