BEA Summer Career Exploration Camps

BEA Summer Career Exploration Camps are part of the Genesee County Business Education Alliance (BEA) programs that include career exploration camps, career days, career fairs, and class activities for students that mimic real-life business interactions. The Summer Career Exploration Camps include a Medical Camp, Culinary Camp, Vet/Animal Sciences Camp, and Camp Hard Hat (Construction Camp). These camps are offered alongside other BEA activities such as job shadowing, mock interviews, classroom speakers, student and teacher site visits, and career speaker luncheons.

The Genesee County Business Education Alliance (BEA) states that its mission is to foster a partnership between business and education and to assist students in preparing for the world of work. Programs are described as being designed to create a stronger workforce for businesses in Genesee County and to educate youth on the various pathways available to them. The BEA relies on support from the business community and local schools to fund its programming and supports ongoing career readiness programming through organizations such as GCC, GCEDC, GVEP, and Cornell Cooperative Extension.
