The SCJTL Bayport-Blue Point Tennis Programs are staffed by high school and college players who are directed and supervised by Suffolk County's most experienced coaches. The leadership team includes Coach John Selvaggio, Bayport-Blue Point Boys and Girls Varsity Head Coach; Coach Keith Scharf, Bayport-Blue Point Girls Volunteer Assistant Varsity and former Boys Varsity Head Coach; and Joe Arias, Suffolk County Tennis & Education Foundation President and Suffolk County Junior Tennis League Founder and Executive Director. The mission of the program is to serve the local community and surrounding area by providing juniors and adults with the opportunity to take high quality, affordable tennis lessons close to home and to participate in local tournaments. Bayport-Blue Point community tennis programs are open to students and residents of the Bayport-Blue Point school district only and are sponsored by the Suffolk County Tennis and Education Foundation, Inc., a New York State nonprofit corporation.

Program features include options for all ages and levels, summer and fall programs, competitive tennis programs for juniors at varying ages and skill levels, and a competition tennis program for students in grades 7 through 12. The Fall and Winter tennis program is available for students in grades K through 12. Camps are described as comfortable and spacious for younger participants, and the coach-to-player ratio allows for more personalized instruction. Programs are developed for both beginners and experienced players, and junior programs state that they will promote a lifelong love of tennis and the physical, psychological, and social benefits that accompany participation in the sport. Registration is processed through the Suffolk County Junior Tennis League Member Portal.

The program’s listed credentials and awards include being Suffolk County Small School Girls and Boys County Team Finalists and League Champions in 2022, 2023, and 2024, NY State Girls Team Champions in 2024, and Suffolk County Small School County Team Champions and League Champions in 2021.
