theCoderSchool offers summer coding camps with in-person instruction from Code Coaches®. Camps include Vibe Code Adventure, where campers brainstorm business ideas and code a working prototype; Python Startup, a Python camp for intermediate coders with no Python experience necessary; Webrox, which uses HTML/CSS and Javascript to build websites; and Rise of the Machines, an AI for Beginners camp that teaches how AI and ChatGPT work and may use a platform to create AI image recognition bots. Other camps include Battlebots Academy, Digital Art and Animation using MIT’s Scratch, Game Development using Scratch or Snap, Minecraft!, Roblox!, and Robocode.

Programs

• Summer Coding Camps — Camp recommendations around age and skill level; open to discussion based on the child’s experience with coding. · In-person coding camps; each camp runs for a full week, usually starting mid-morning and finishing early afternoon, although some camps are offered as a half-day. Camp instructors are Code Coaches®.

About the provider

theCoderSchool was founded in 2013. Its mission statement says kids learn to code and explore AI technologies, and that the program emphasizes creativity, problem solving, confidence, and personalized guidance. It is partnered with the Congressional App Challenge and says it will collaborate with CAC beginning in 2025-2026 for a national recognition program.

Camp recommendations around age and skill level are open to discussion based on the child’s coding experience. For some camps, prerequisites are stated; for example, some experience is preferred or some coding experience required. Ask the location for specifics because ratios can vary.
