The John McEnroe Tennis Academy (JMTA) offers world-class tennis training inspired by John McEnroe, including U10 Tournament Series for Red, Orange and Green Ball players, Red & Orange Ball Performance Enhancements, and Green & Yellow Ball Training. The program also offers February Break Training Camps and other Training Camps, along with on-court coaching and off-court programming that includes strength, agility, mental toughness, injury prevention, and guidance on proper nutrition and hydration. Coaching emphasizes intensity and efficiency from both players and coaches, with a focus on developing the technical and tactical abilities of players through a holistic development and discovery-based learning approach.

Launched in 2010, JMTA was conceived and developed by John McEnroe in partnership with SPORTIME Clubs. The academy’s leadership team includes John McEnroe as Founder/Director, Patrick McEnroe as JMTA Executive Director, and Mike Barrell as SPORTIME Executive Director of Tennis and a world-renowned junior development expert. JMTA features an international staff of dedicated and enthusiastic coaches with a diversity of experience, who receive ongoing supervision, support and training from world-class Directors. JMTA’s training program is described as the Tri-state area’s #1 program for developing nationally and internationally competitive juniors and is recognized for setting the standard for junior player development. JMTA has produced hundreds of players who have won titles at the sectional, national, intercollegiate and international levels, and thousands more who have taken up tennis as a life-long sport. The program’s mission states that it helps players reach their full potential while supporting them in their academic and off-court pursuits, and that players can live at home while pursuing educational goals and participating in a variety of sports and extracurricular activities.
