STEAM Summer Camps take place at Roberson Museum and Science Center and run during the summer season. Camp days fall within the STEAM Summer Camps schedule of July 6 through August 14. Participants have access to multiple galleries with rotating historical and contemporary art exhibitions, a historic gilded age mansion, and the area’s only Planetarium as part of the museum setting for the program.

Roberson Memorial Center opened to the public in 1954. Roberson Museum became an accredited member of the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) in 1973 and has been accredited continuously since, and AAM accredited museums rank in the top 3 percent of all the museums in the United States. Roberson became a member of the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) on June 18, 1985. The organization’s mission is that Roberson engages and educates a diverse population by providing regionally significant exhibitions and programs in art, history, and science.
The leadership team includes Executive Director Michael Grasso, Director of Development Staci Becker, Education Director Amy Marcho, Director of Exhibitions Peter Klosky, Visitor Services and Museum Shop Coordinator Michael Sisto, Collections Director Shannon Lindridge, Events and Event Rental Coordinator Colleen Mondolfi, Facilities Supervisor Matt Miernicki, Education Coordinator Veronica George, Administrative Coordinator Thomas Bezek, Development Coordinator Michaela Gay, and Marketing and Communications Coordinator Sullivan J. Harris. Governance and board leadership include Board President Mark S. Gorgos, Vice President David Guy, Secretary Stacey Duncan, Trustees Patrick Doyle, Judy Ghosin, Donald P. Harris, Joan Lacey, Kathleen Lake, Pamela Mischen, Tshijuka Nelson, Mary O'Malley-Trumble, Brooke Roberson Cushman, David Schumann, Glenn Small, Tim Strong, and Trustee Emeritus Matt Salanger.
Support for Roberson’s general operations is provided by grants from the United Cultural Fund, a program of the Broome County Arts Council; the Conrad and Virginia Klee Foundation; the Zoos, Botanical Gardens and Aquaria Program, administered by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation; and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
