Pelham Bay Little League Baseball & Softball offers baseball, softball, and T-Ball, along with Winter Clinics and High School Spring Training. The program also runs special events such as a Back to School Community Giveaway and seasonal league play that includes both games and, for many divisions, playoffs. T-Ball players have scheduled games only, while players in 8U and older divisions have both games and playoffs.

• Schedule: Seasonal programming with a Spring 2026 Season Kickoff in April 2026, Winter Clinics running from November 2023 through March 2024, DYCD-funded programming offered Monday through Thursday during approved program hours, and a goal for each season for teams to meet at least 20 times
• Price: Early Bird Savings plus 25 off for returning players; DYCD-funded programming is completely free of charge to all participants and families in accordance with DYCD guidelines
Pelham Bay Little League Baseball & Softball has been serving the community since 1954 and will be commemorating its 70th anniversary in the upcoming year. The league states that baseball and softball have proven to instill discipline, structure, and confidence in young athletes and that it is committed to creating a community league that emphasizes friendship, family, and fitness. The program notes that it is proud to welcome boys and girls from across the Bronx and that the league was once a place where only boys were allowed to play, but today it is the girls’ softball teams that have kept the league active, including one of the largest girls softball programs in the Bronx.
The league describes itself as a cornerstone of the community since 1954, bringing families and neighbors together through a shared interest in baseball and softball. Community activities include the Urban Initiative Jamboree, scheduled to run from June 7th through June 9th, 2024 at both Van Nest Little League and Pelham Bay Little League, and a Back to School Community Giveaway on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM or while supplies last, with free backpacks and school supplies distributed on a first come, first serve basis. An All Player’s Equipment Guide is available for T-Ball, baseball, and softball, and registration is described as first come, first serve with spaces limited.
