Swim Lessons at Riverdale Y

Swim Lessons at Riverdale Y include group swim lessons, private swim lessons, and other swim classes in an indoor, heated, 25-yard, saline pool. The program takes place in a facility that also offers lap swimming, open swimming, lifeguard training, basketball, a theater program, a stained glass studio, and hot-lunch socials. Group and private swim lessons are available to members and non-members for all ages and abilities.

Riverdale Y describes itself as a century-old organization devoted to the well-being of the whole community, in all its diversity. Its mission states that Riverdale Y enriches lives by cultivating universally shared values central to Jewish life, through educational, cultural, wellness, and service programs for all. It is also the home of the award-winning Riverdale Rising Stars theater program, now in its 25th season, which is part of a theater program that has undergone a theater makeover with renovated theater space. The organization also runs a full-day nursery school program for children ages 2 through 5, including Pre-K for All, with early drop off and extended day options, and states that it has a responsibility to care for one another in the local community and in the world.
