Little Scholars Summer Camp offers five distinctive summer camp clubs: Music & Art Club, Math & Science Club, Storybook Land Club, Do It Yourself Club, and Sports Club. Children at the camp take part in floor-time play, sensory exploration, singing, a Finger Play Program, self-directed play, and music and movement activities. The broader Little Scholars program also weaves arts, music, travel, architecture, and culture into children’s experiences and uses wooden toys to encourage interaction and collaboration.

Little Scholars Summer Camp is part of Little Scholars NYC, a licensed educational provider and non-profit organization. The camp is connected to Little Scholars Development Center, which offers child care with a team versed in diverse child development areas and uses play-based learning. The program’s curriculum draws on creative curriculum and high-scope educational models and is aimed at stimulating all five areas of development, including STEM experiences in science, technology, engineering, and fun math. Little Scholars serves balanced, fresh meals prepared in compliance with the State Food Program (CACFP), accepts ACS/HRA vouchers, and uses the Brightwheel app to send parents daily updates and support face-to-face chats.
Little Scholars’ journey began in 2013 with a commitment to children’s education in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and it has operated for over a decade. The organization was founded by Mariana Korsunsky and Nick Kats, and Mariana Korsunsky, MS.ED, serves as Director of Education. The Little Scholars teachers’ guidance is backed by years of experience and a passion for pedagogy, and the multicultural team introduces diverse perspectives using educational materials that celebrate diverse backgrounds. In collaboration with NYC DOE, Little Scholars provides free Universal Pre-K and offers an Extended Day Program for 3–5 year olds that includes enrichment experiences.
