About
Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club Programs offers before- and after-school programs that serve Club Kids in Northern Orange and Sullivan Counties. The organization provides healthy meals and snacks to Club Kids daily at no cost and offers life-enhancing programs led by caring adult professionals. The programs carve out space, time, and attention for over 2,000 kids each year.
• Schedule: Administrative Office is open Monday through Friday from 9 am–5 pm.
Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club has offered before- and after-school programs since 1993. Its mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need support most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Every program that serves youth under the age of 13 in a before- or after-school setting is licensed through the Child Care Council of the home county in accordance with New York State Office of Children and Family Services regulations, and all Summer Day Camp operations are licensed by the New York State Department of Health. Every member of the team undergoes annual criminal background checks and annual fingerprint clearance from New York State, meets the standards set forth by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, and is fingerprinted and cleared by the New York State Statewide Central Register Clearance System, and each program site has at least one staff member who is CPR and First Aid certified on duty at all times. The organization provides vital lifelines to families in Orange and Sullivan Counties, offers generous scholarship opportunities and sliding-scale payments for all families, and does not turn children away due to a lack of financial security, while keeping programs among the most affordable in the region despite rising inflation.
One parent, Amber, a single mother of a Club Kid named Mason, states that she would not be able to make life work without the Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club programs and staff, that she always knows her son is safe and in the best hands, and that the care and attention he receives at The Club laid the foundation for her family to build a home life that would not otherwise be possible. She shares that Mason’s mentors and peers at The Club have helped him build and grow his life and relationship skills and expresses strong gratitude for the team, saying her family feels blessed to be part of the Boys & Girls Club.
