Long Island Dance Force offers dance classes that include Mommy and Me, Tiny Tots, Combo Classes, Intermediate and Advanced Classes, adult dance classes, and a competition team. Children and adults take part in activities such as circle time songs, assisted stretching, infant massage, pretend play, music playing, gymnastics, partner dance with Mommy and Baby, creative movement, ballet stretches, beginner ballet, acro, tap bar and center, ballet center, ballet across the floor, Kid Hop/Acro, Hip Hop, tumbling skills, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Cheer, Modern, Pointe, Irish step soft and hard shoe, and musical theatre.

• Schedule: Mommy and Me Class meets once a week from September through June; class lengths range from 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on level and type.
Long Island Dance Force offers a Mommy and Me Class for ages 12–24 months, a Nursery Class for 2-year-olds as a creative movement class, Pre-School and Pre-K one-hour ballet/tap/acro Combo classes for ages 3–4, a Kid Hop/Acro Combo Class for tiny tots, a Kinder Combo for 5-year-olds with 30 minutes of Ballet and 30 minutes of Tap, and a 1st/2nd Grade Combo for 6–7-year-olds with 30 minutes each of Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. Intermediate and Advanced classes are available for ages 8 and up in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Tap, Acro (ages 5 and up), Kid Hop (ages 5–7), and Cheer (ages 5 and up), and adult dance classes are offered for ages 18 and up. The Mommy and Me Class is a 45-minute class that runs once a week from September through June; Nursery and Kid Hop/Acro Combo classes are 45 minutes, Pre-School and Pre-K and Kinder Combo classes are one hour, and the 1st/2nd Grade Combo is an hour and a half. Ballet shoes are required for the Nursery Class, Ballet and Tap shoes are required for the Kinder Combo class, and Ballet, Tap, and Jazz shoes are required for the 1st/2nd Grade Combo class.
Long Island Dance Force is celebrating its 25th year in business and opened its doors in 1999. The program has an award winning competition team, and competition team participation is available by audition. The owner and director is Nicole Bruhnke, who is also an instructor and competition choreographer and has been part of Long Island Dance Force since it opened in 1999. The staff includes instructors such as Olivia Schwalb, Michaela Wagner, Stephanie Cascio, McKenna Tyson, Jaewon Kim, and Stephanie Gillett, who have extensive dance training and experience in styles including tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, pointe, contemporary, Irish step, modern, and musical theatre, as well as backgrounds in performance, competition, and dance education. The mission of Long Island Dance Force is to instruct a high quality of dance while providing a nurturing and encouraging environment and to focus on building friendships, memories, and self confidence.
