Long Island Dance Force

Long Island Dance Force offers Mommy & Me / Get Up & Move, with circle time songs, assisted stretching, infant massage, pretend play, music, gymnastics, and partner dance with Mommy and Baby. It also offers Move With Me, Creative Movement, and Ballet & Tap, along with classes such as Nursery Class / Tiny Tots Dance, Pre-School and Pre-K Classes, Kid Hop / Acro Combo Class, Kinder Combo, 1st/2nd Grade Combo, Intermediate Classes, Advanced Classes, and Adult Dance Classes.

• Nursery Class / Tiny Tots Dance — 2 years old · 45 minutes

• Kinder Combo — 5 years old · 30 minutes Ballet; 30 minutes Tap; 1 hour total
• 1st/2nd Grade Combo — 6-7 years old · 30 minutes Ballet; 30 minutes Jazz; 30 minutes Tap; 1.5 hours total
• Intermediate Classes — 8 and up
• Advanced Classes — 8 and up
• Adult Dance Classes — 18 and up

About the provider

Long Island Dance Force is celebrating its 25th year in business this year. Nicole Bruhnke has been part of the LIDF family since it opened its doors in 1999. The leadership team includes Nicole Bruhnke, Olivia Schwalb, Michaela Wagner, Stephen Veltre, Stephanie Cascio, McKenna Tyson, Jaewon Kim, and Dan Schulman. The studio says it instructs a high quality of dance and provides a nurturing and encouraging environment, and it says it believes in building friendships, memories, and self confidence. Its competition team is award-winning, and the facts also note special awards in Michaela Wagner’s bio, a dance scholarship to Orlando, Florida for Stephanie Cascio, and a St. Joseph’s College award winning dance team mentioned in Stephanie Cascio’s bio.

Adult Dance is for ages 18 & up. Mommy & Me runs once a week from September-June. Competition team has spots available upon audition. 2026-2027 schedule page lists classes and times.
