About

YMCA Buffalo Niagara Camps is part of YMCA Buffalo Niagara, which is the second-oldest YMCA in the United States and one of the oldest institutions in Western New York. The camps are operated by a charitable, community-based organization that runs multiple programs for children and families across the region. One of the camp venues is Camp Tahigwa.

Founded in 1852, YMCA Buffalo Niagara has a long history in Western New York. Its mission is to provide programs designed to build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. As a nonprofit organization, the Y is supported by membership dues and program fees, community fundraising, the YMCA Turkey Trot, grants, and annual earnings from its Endowment Fund. Each year, YMCA Buffalo Niagara allocates $1.6 million to support equitable access for people in the community. The organization serves Western New York with five wellness centers, two overnight camps, and over 40 child care locations.
