Kids' Adventure Club
Kids’ Adventure Club, Pathways, Inc., 33 Denison Parkway West, Corning, NY 14830
About
Kids’ Adventure Club offers before and after school childcare throughout the school year and during non-school days in the Corning-Painted Post School District’s six elementary school buildings. The program offers a broad range of age-appropriate activities for youth in Kindergarten through age 12 years, including experiences that allow youth to explore and investigate ideas, interact with peers, and connect with the community. Each site is able to administer emergency medication, including epi-pens and inhalers, and provides a nutritious afternoon snack based on NYS Child & Adult Care Food Program guidelines, with breakfast offered on full-day programs.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Childcare is offered Monday through Friday when school is in session from 6:30 am until school begins and from school dismissal until 6:00 pm, with a full-day summer program operating 7:30 am–5:30 pm for 6–8 weeks based on the school calendar and emergency closure care operating 8:00 am–5:00 pm.
• Price: Tuition is based on a sliding fee scale according to family size, income, and number of days enrolled.
Based on enrollment and childcare needs, some program locations are combined, and bussing is provided to or from the child’s home school when necessary. New enrollment begins May 1 for the upcoming summer and following school year, and financial assistance through ProAction of Steuben and Yates, Inc. is accepted. For 2025, Kids’ Adventure Club Summer Program enrollment is closed, with no spaces available in the program or on the waiting list.
All staff undergo background checks, are fingerprinted, and receive First Aid and CPR training, under the leadership of a Program Director for Kids’ Adventure Club. Kids’ Adventure Club is operated by Pathways, Inc., which was established in 1976 and provides children, adults, and families with specialized programs and services in areas including intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, family support, traumatic brain injury, nursing home alternatives, home care services, care coordination, clinical services, therapeutic foster care, and childcare.
