YMCA Camp Onyahsa offers activities such as archery, hiking, swimming, canoeing, fishing, volleyball, and basketball. The camp runs summer overnight and day camps, as well as off-season monthly weekend camps. A camp store operates on-site and supports the Youth Development Fund.

Since 1898, YMCA Camp Onyahsa has had a history of serving families, with a mission to promote excellence in youth development through quality camp programs that place a premium on participants' safety, health, and happiness in an active outdoor environment. The camp is a branch of the Jamestown Area YMCA. The staff is comprised of committed adults who are carefully screened, chosen, and trained by the YMCA, and the leadership team includes Camp Director Jon O'Brian. The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and is licensed by the New York State Department of Health. Camp Onyahsa emphasizes common values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring, and includes a friendly community of participants from varied cultural, economic, social, and ability-based backgrounds, including participants with handicapping conditions. Most campers and staff reside within 100 miles of the camp, with additional participants from throughout the United States and Canada and growing enrollment from most continents.
