Art League of Long Island Classes and Youth Programs include hands-on activities such as Drawing & Painting, Watercolor, Printmaking, Pastel, Sculpture, Jewelry, Ceramics, and Photography. The program also offers specialized options like Blacksmithing 101, Mixed-Media Collage Shenanigans, Painting with Oil Glazes, The Speculative Studio: High School Workshop, Weaving Tapestries Workshop, and various Open Studios including Ceramics Open Studio and Jewelry Open Studio.

The Art League of Long Island is a not-for-profit visual arts education center offering classes and workshops in a variety of mediums throughout the year, with programs for adults, teens, and children. Classes are available for anyone 3 to 103 with no experience necessary, with year-round course offerings plus specialized programs to address distinct needs. Since its inception in 1955, the Art League of Long Island has focused on broad-based visual arts education, providing a forum and showcase for artists of all ages and ability levels and promoting the appreciation, practice, and enjoyment of the visual arts. It is the oldest and largest nonprofit visual arts organization of its kind on Long Island, serving 155 towns and villages year-round.

Beyond the Classroom programs for local schools bring the Art League’s teaching and practicing artists into school classrooms or host class field trips in the Art League’s studios, and Professional Development Programs for Art Educators offer CTLE credits in the studios or at in-school locations. Outreach efforts include programs for senior citizens, at-risk teens, traumatic brain injury victims, and those with developmental disabilities. The Art League also offers flexible, customizable spaces where businesses can stage events, pop-ups, parties, fashion shows, art installations, promotions, and more.

The organization is led by a Board of Directors that includes Andrea Mattera, CPA, Board President & Secretary; John C.
