Camp Gorton offers Cub Scout Overnight Adventure Camp and Scouts BSA Resident Camp, along with the Camp Gorton Trail Hiker program. Through the Trail Hiker program, participants can hike 5 miles of trails, keep a journal of observations, and complete a service project. The Trail Hiker program includes Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.

Camp Gorton celebrated its 100th anniversary on July 14, 2024. During the off-season, both Scouting and non-Scouting groups can reserve facilities, including cabins and tent campsites. The Gorton Campmaster Corps is a group of dedicated, experienced, and trained Scouters who volunteer at Camp Gorton, with Campmaster Corps units comprised of 3–5 members, each with a team leader, and each Campmaster asked to spend at least two weekends from Friday at 5:00 pm to Sunday at 1:00 pm at camp each year. Campmaster Corps teams stay in the Ambassador Lodge. The camp’s leadership team includes Camp Ranger Joe Fountain, Camp Director Ian Walruth, and Camp Clerk Crystal VanZile.
