YMCA Summer Camps

YMCA Summer Camps offers Young Explorers for current UPK students and campers entering UPK in Fall 2026, Day Camp for campers currently in Grades K-5, Sports Camp for campers currently in grades 3-6, STEM Camp for campers currently in Grades 1-6, Teen Camp for campers currently in grades 6-9, Leaders-In-Training for campers currently in grades 6 and 7, Counselors-In-Training for campers currently in grades 8 and up, and Overnight Camps at Camp Kenan and Camp Weona. The program includes a traditional Day Camp experience with a full day of activities, sports skill building in a non-competitive setting, hands-on STEM activities, and leadership and camp-counseling skill building.

• Young Explorers — Designed for current UPK students and campers entering UPK in Fall 2026 (Turning 4 by 12/1/2026) · $290–$348 per week
• Day Camp — campers currently in Grades K-5 · $290–$348 per week · Traditional Day Camp experience with a full day of activities.
• Sports Camp — campers currently in grades 3-6 · Each week focuses on building the skills needed for different sports in a non-competitive setting.
• STEM Camp — campers currently in Grades 1-6 · $290–$348 per week · A hands-on adventure where campers become creators, scientists, and adventurers.
• Teen Camp — campers currently in grades 6-9 · $290–$348 per week · Designed for teens that still want to enjoy just Day Camp activities.
• Leaders-In-Training — campers currently in grades 6 & 7 · $290–$348 per week · An energizing experience where teens build confidence, practice real leadership, and discover their own voice.
• Counselors-In-Training — campers currently in grades 8 & up · $175–$210 per week · A hands-on experience where teens learn leadership and camp-counseling skills while gaining confidence and still enjoying all the best parts of camp.
• Overnight Camps — Camp Kenan | Camp Weona

• General schedule: All day camps operate from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. Outdoor Adventure Camps run weekly from June 29 - August 28. Day Camp Locations run weekly, with dates varying by location.

YMCA Buffalo Niagara was founded in 1852. It is a charitable, community-based organization committed to providing programs designed to build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The Y serves the Western New York community with five wellness centers, two overnight camps, and over 40 child care locations, and it allocates $1.6 million each year to ensure equitable access for all in the community.

YMCA members receive lower rates on summer camp. Not a member? Click here to join today. Afternoon Special Interest Clubs are focused activity groups where campers choose a topic and dive deeper into it with guidance from staff. Club selection varies by week and location.
