About
Twist'N Flip Glenmont offers gymnastics, preschool gymnastics classes, and parent and tot classes, along with a competitive team. The program also hosts events, birthday parties, Ready Set Dance, and a variety of camps, including summer and day camps, Feb Break Camp, and Holiday Break Camp. Families can choose from continuous classes that can be started or stopped at any time, with small class sizes and a lower student-to-instructor ratio.
• Ages: 1–12 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Saturday during classes and special events, closed Sundays; camps run on school break days and as weekly themed camps during summer, with full-day and half-day options
Twist’N Flip has been serving the Capital Region for 20 years, with the gymnastics program starting on Saturday mornings in 2005 and expanding to six days a week by September 2006, and the most recent gym in Cobleskill opening in 2020. The organization operates four gymnastics centers in the Capital Region and notes that it has been doing good things for kids since 2006, with the guiding idea of “not for gymnastics, but for life.” New families are offered a 30-day money back guarantee policy, and there is one make-up class per month that expires after four weeks. The mission of Twist’N Flip is to educate, enrich, and inspire every child who attends, with a philosophy that gymnastics is the ultimate sport for teaching children that exercising and staying fit can be lots of fun and that the basics of gymnastics will benefit students throughout elementary and high school and beyond. The leadership team includes Ron and Jodi Barnes as owners of Twist’N Flip and Michelle McCarthy as the Location Director at Twist’N Flip Glenmont. The program states that when school is out, camp is in, and that families will always hear back from a real member of the team rather than bots or automated replies.
