About
A-Force BJJ Academy offers Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kids BJJ, and kids after-school programs that focus on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The program also includes self defense and sport BJJ as part of its Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training. In addition, A-Force BJJ Academy offers Adults Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, including adults beginners BJJ and advanced adults BJJ, as well as Muay Thai classes.

Andre “Tim” Monteiro owns A-Force and is a 5th degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt from Rio de Janeiro with over 25 years of experience competing in, training, and teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Andre earned his black belt in 2003 and has taught BJJ in Brazil, Europe, and the USA. His teaching system is based on Gracie Jiu Jitsu with a focus on self defense, sport BJJ, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. Andre holds a degree in physical therapy and osteopathy. He is a multiple-time World and European medalist, Nogi Pan Ams Champion, 4x Super-Fight Champion, 2005 Pan American Adult Bronze Medalist, and NY Pro Champion, along with other IBJJF titles.
A-Force BJJ Academy offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai classes in a clean, safe, and family friendly environment. The academy provides world-class training with multi-level classes for brand new students or those looking to enhance skills for competition, and students learn from black belt BJJ competitors and professional MMA fighters with over 20 years of experience. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at A-Force is based on maximizing leverage so a smaller person can defend against and control a larger, stronger aggressor, and includes moves that allow students to train regardless of age, gender, or athletic ability. A-Force has Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes for kids and adults at all levels of experience, and programs are designed to help students grow physically, mentally, and socially.
A-Force BJJ Academy is proud to serve multiple communities across Long Island, New York, with locations in Great Neck, Manhasset, Port Washington, Roslyn, Syosset, Huntington, East Northport, and Rockville Centre. The Great Neck location is conveniently located near the Long Island Railroad and offers a full schedule of beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes, and also offers Muay Thai along with the Syosset location. The academy is conveniently located near Queens and the north shore of Long Island.
