World class coaching provides instruction in lifetime sports and comprehensive fitness programs. Highly qualified equestrian instructors teach lead line work for beginners and progress to trail riding, jumping, and dressage, using 32 horses with indoor and outdoor arenas and wooded riding trails. Dynamic and accomplished professional instructors guide campers through a progressive tennis curriculum from beginner to advanced on 15 all weather courts and 1 indoor court. The camp presents more than 80 full-scale theater productions every summer in five theaters and runs what it describes as the largest and most comprehensive children’s circus training program in the world, including a main circus show, a Jr. Circus show, and a late night fire fly show. French Woods Radio is carried over the internet and features live interviews, camp bulletins, recorded songs, and other audio components created by campers. Older campers can participate in community service and legacy projects in addition to college prep courses. The program states that campers are able to focus on one particular area or choose a variety of activities, that younger campers have additional guidance and supervision, and that French Woods celebrates diversity and provides a safe environment for children to try new things. French Woods is internationally recognized as a premiere program in the performing arts and includes all the programs of a traditional summer camp and more, with Zoom info sessions with owners and staff and a Zoom Homesickness Workshop offered to the French Woods community.
