From Stage to Screen Acting Studio offers acting lessons, voice lessons, and dance lessons for kids and teens. The program includes kids theatre programs where students take acting, voice, and dance lessons while rehearsing for a full-scale production. Participants audition for Junie B.'s Essential Survival Guide to School Jr. through vocal auditions submitted by video and acting auditions held in person, followed by class and rehearsal.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Vocal self-tape auditions are due by January 29; in-person acting auditions take place Saturday, January 31, with Grades K–1 from 8:30 AM–9:30 AM and Grades 2–5 from 9:30 AM–10:30 AM; classes and rehearsals run on Saturdays from 8:30 AM–10:30 AM starting February 7, with performances on April 25 and April 26.
• Price: Willy Wonka Jr (Grades 5–12): $500; Perform in NYC at Don't Tell Mama: $225; Thwacked! A Fractured Fable! (Grades K–4): $275; Kidz Company: Junie Bs Guide 2 School Jr: $400 total cost, with a non-refundable $100 deposit required at registration and the remaining balance payable in full at auditions or in monthly installments.
From Stage to Screen Acting Studio has been providing youth theatre programs in the Hudson Valley for over 20 years. Company Classes offer professional training in acting, voice, and dance while students rehearse for a full-scale production, and Kids Company, Young Company, and Teen Company programs all lead to show performances. The studio follows a “No-Cut” policy in which everyone who auditions is guaranteed a role, and auditions are used to determine role placement. The instructors bring years of professional experience, and students work with professional sets, lights, and costumes. The program serves kids and teens from across the Mid Hudson Valley region, including Highland, New Paltz, Marlboro, Poughkeepsie, and Hyde Park. A non-refundable $100 deposit is required at the time of registration to secure a spot.
