Hornell Concern for Youth

Hornell Area Concern for Youth offers Youth Center Activities that include pool, Uno, crafts, yard games, and field trips. The program also offers mentoring activities with mentors from nearby college athletic programs, and no-cost prevention counseling from an on-staff credentialed counselor.

Programs

• Youth Center Activities — school age children; ages 8-19 · Mon-Fri, 3pm-7pm (Hornell Youth Center); Mon-Fri, 3pm-6pm (Canisteo Youth Center) · Play a game of pool, Uno, crafts, yard games, field trips, and more. Supervised by caring staff.
• Mentoring Program — Thursdays at 5pm · Special activities with mentors from nearby college athletic programs.
• Prevention Education — K-12 · During the school year · Visit local schools to offer Too Good for Violence and Too Good for Drugs curriculums.
• Counseling — teens · On-staff credentialed counselor offers no-cost prevention counseling.

About the provider

Hornell Area Concern for Youth was founded in 1975. It is a Family and Youth Service Agency serving all school age children in Hornell and the surrounding areas, and it partners with the Steuben Prevention Coalition.
