About

Hudson Youth Center Programs offer activities that include art, circus, dancing and movement, singing, audio/visual skills, and athletics. The program runs after school during the year and also offers a six-week summer camp at Oakdale Park in July and August. During the summer, Oakdale lake and park serve as the main station of operations, with a Skate Park and Basketball court that are used by Hudson’s pre-teens and teens, along with a Bike Coop and many different community events and trips.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: After school options Monday–Friday between 3pm and 9pm during the school year, plus a six-week summer camp in July and August

The Hudson Youth Center provides afterschool and summer programs through the Hudson Department of Youth, which serves youth starting from age 5 and leading to adulthood. Its mission statement describes programming that focuses on developing resilience, self-awareness, and resourcefulness, and that promotes competency building, social skills, life skills, academic improvement, community development, social justice, and restorative practices. The Hudson Department of Youth notes that its space is designed to empower youth and young adults and inspire them to become their greatest selves, and that it works with students and their families to find and develop programming that will be meaningful to participants. The program is connected with Friends Of Hudson Youth and other community resources, and cites a quote from Marianne Williamson as a testimonial.
