Barça Academy Pro New York is a youth football academy owned and operated by FC Barcelona. Players train using FC Barcelona’s unique model, the same methodology employed at La Masia, and take part in specific activities such as tournaments in different parts of the world, the Barça Academy World Cup, the Barça Academy Cup Las Américas, and Barça Clinics.
Barça Academy Pro New York follows the methodology and values of Barça’s style and philosophy, including a proactive, collective and creative style of play that has been used to develop players such as Messi, Piqué, Busquets, Jordi Alba, Xavi, and Iniesta. The program emphasizes core values that FC Barcelona identifies as humility, effort, ambition, respect, and teamwork. The technical staff is led by Technical Director Oriol Poves and three Technical Coordinators from FC Barcelona, who lead the technical staff of Barça Academy Pro New York. The broader Barça Academy structure includes more than 30 football academies, more than 45,000 kids, over 180 campus, and is present on all five continents.
