Grace Day School Early Childhood Center and Grace Above & Beyond

Grace Day School Early Childhood Center and Grace Above & Beyond includes activities such as creative play, reading, crafts, field trips, and visits from speakers. The program uses both an outdoor athletic field and an indoor gym and operates with a secured entry and a home-like atmosphere.

Grace Early Childhood and Grace Above & Beyond are ministries under the direction of Grace Church. The mission states that the programs offer a development and learning atmosphere where children explore, discover, and learn, with age-appropriate programs and staff who are described as caring, dedicated, and experienced. The mission also states that the programs focus on cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development and present learning opportunities in stimulating, diverse, and fun ways so that children leave feeling confident and prepared for school. Grace Early Childhood and Grace Above & Beyond state that they provide a community of love, acceptance, and appreciation for the unique qualities of each individual, grounded in the belief that each child is precious and endowed by God.

The program’s unique features include a Two’s Club, nursery and pre-K academic classes, an enriched curriculum, an Above & Beyond full-time program, Above & Beyond before and after school options, full-time care with a home-like atmosphere, and a summer camp program. The program describes its experiences as exceptional for children six weeks of age through pre-K.

All staff are CPR/AED certified, and the program lists qualified faculty and experienced assistants. All clergy, staff members, and volunteers are Safe Church certified through the Diocese of Long Island. The program is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, is a member in good standing of the National Association of Episcopal Schools, and is a member of the Child Care Council of Nassau, Inc.
