Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center offers a comprehensive preschool program and private early childhood program for young children. The program includes several center-based special education programs and a full range of therapeutic services for young children birth to five years of age. It also offers Preschool and Universal Pre-K programs, summer programs, and integrated services that include the inclusion of children with special needs in the programs.

Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center is a family-centered program committed to quality education services, with a philosophy based on “whole child” development in an inclusionary environment that was developed in 1979. The mission of the program is based on developmentally appropriate early childhood philosophy that supports the importance of early childhood learning experiences including play and a planned program that supports the needs of young children and their families. The program emphasizes developing partnerships with families, valuing parent involvement in all aspects of programs, and supporting families in their role as primary educators, caregivers, and decision-makers in the delivery of services.
The staff includes NYS Certified Teachers and Licensed Related Service Providers, including Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Psychologists, and Social Workers, all under the supervision of a Medical Director. The Family Initiative Coordination Services Project collaborates with parents and promotes parent involvement at all levels of the Early Intervention Program, and leadership for this project includes Angela Furci, Family Initiative Coordinator, and Liz Muller, Family Initiative Project Assistant. Preschool education programs are individualized for each child to create a sense of safety and security through routines and consistency.
Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center is licensed and approved by the New York State Department of Education and Health, Nassau and Suffolk County DOH Divisions of Services for Children with Special Needs, the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities, and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, with services funded through NYSED, NYDOH, and Suffolk and Nassau DOH. The program is nationally recognized by the Children’s Defense Fund for providing state-of-the-art services and family support for children of all disabilities. It is an approved UPK provider for many school districts across Long Island and offers multiple convenient locations, including Middle Island, Lindenhurst, Laurel, Baldwin, Hampton Bays, Mattituck-Cutchogue, Middle Country, Middle Island/Longwood, Patchogue-Medford, Riverhead, William Floyd, and centers located in associated school districts.
A family member of a student reported having impressive experiences with staff, stated that their children learned an abundant amount of things that are aiding them to be successful in further learning, and described the social skills taught as beyond comparison from any other school they had heard about. This family member also stated that they felt the teachers and administration are what makes Just Kids the outstanding school it is.
