About
Kids of Miller Place is a NYS licensed childhood enrichment center that offers programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. The program offers Preschool, Toddler, Infant, School-Age Before/After Care, Vacation Camps, and a Summer Program. Teachers in the program are supported by mature childcare professionals, and all staff are chosen for their high energy, love for children, and concern for the safety and well-being of each individual child.

Kids of Miller Place is locally owned and operated and offers school year and year-round educational programs for children 6 weeks through 10 years of age. The center is led by Executive Director Amy Engelberg and On-Site Director Donata Oliva. Its dedication to children is represented by over a decade of education and care to children in the local Long Island community. Teachers receive ongoing training throughout the school year in childhood development, safety, and first aid, and all staff are background and reference checked. The program is offered to families in Miller Place, Sound Beach, Mount Sinai, Rocky Point, Shoreham, Port Jefferson, Port Jefferson Station, Coram, and all of Suffolk County. The program’s mission states that children learn through experience and play, with life skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, cooperation, and others learned through play. The mission also states that children are given a wide array of age-appropriate choices without judgment of success or failure, that they are encouraged to make choices within limits, and that independence is encouraged as a critical step in each child’s development.
