Moonlight Day Camp offers activities that include sports, chinuch, swim, arts-and-crafts, Olympics, Color War, sports clinics, hip hop, music, carnivals, petting zoos, and night activities. The program also runs an Oneg hour every Shabbat with games, stories, learning, and snacks.
• Ages: 2–8 years old
• Schedule: Weekday hours are 10am–5pm (ending at 3pm on Fridays), with a shortened day for 2-year-olds; 2025 camp dates run June 29–August 20 with full summer, single session, weekly, and daily rate options (daily rate not available to lower camp; final dates subject to change).
• Price: Registration fee is $50 (applied to tuition); tuition before the deadline is Full Summer – $1,350, Single Session – $50, Weekly rate – $200, Daily rate – $55 (not available to lower camp); an Early Bird Discount offers a $50 credit per child per summer if paid in full before June 1st; every owner in Moonlight pays a separate $400 day camp assessment as part of maintenance, and camp fees are not refundable.
Moonlight Day Camp serves the Modern Orthodox residents of Moonlight Cottages and neighboring towns and bungalow colonies, and local campers from outside of Moonlight are welcome. Moonlight Day Camp offers programs and activities for boys and girls from ages 2–7, and also notes a day camp program for boys and girls ages 2–8 from Moonlight and neighboring towns and bungalow colonies near Monticello. An owner assessment discount is available in which a $400 day camp assessment can be deducted from the maintenance bill proportional to time spent in camp if conditions are met. Moonlight Cottages, where the camp operates, was started in the mid-1950s by Jeno and Fanny Berger, was converted to a cooperative colony in the early 1980s, and now has 67 housing units owning the land in common.
