About the provider

Founded in 1990, the Youth Community Outreach Program was created to foster a positive relationship between youth in the community and the police by offering positive after-school activities in an effort to build trust. It serves more than 400 youth ages five to 17 each year and their families. The After School Program is licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and the Childcare Council of Westchester. CIT participants perform community service hours at area nursing homes, rehab centers, assisted living facilities, daycare centers, and local soup kitchens.

After School Program requires an after-school registration form, updated physical and immunization record, and a completed transportation form if being transported; parents must attend at least three parent meetings throughout the school year; children are grouped by staff for activities.
