• Ages: 0–5 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Bright Beginnings of Rockland has been serving Rockland County families since 2011 and has provided childcare for over ten years. The program accepts children from 6 weeks to school age and is now accepting enrollments for preschool and infant programs for the 2025–2026 school year, as well as enrolling for summer camp 2026. Bright Beginnings can be flexible with hours to help better serve families.
Bright Beginnings is a New York State licensed preschool and childcare facility, and Bright Beginnings of New City and Pearl River are licensed group family daycares. All staff members have early childhood experience working with children and are Health and Safety Trained by OCFS, Infant/Child CPR Certified by the American Red Cross, First Aid Certified by OCFS, and MAT – Medication Administration Trained, which allows staff to administer medications for children with medical conditions such as allergies and asthma.
The Center Director and Owner, Jaime Naddeo, is a New York State Certified Teacher with dual certification in Childhood Education grades 1–6 and Literacy Birth–6. The stated goals of Bright Beginnings include providing a safe and loving environment for preschool-age children, fostering self-confidence and wellbeing, exposing children to pre-reading, pre-math, science and art, music and movement activities, providing physical activities to facilitate gross and fine motor development, and developing a partnership between parents and school. The Bright Beginnings philosophy states that human development can be stimulated and encouraged but not forced, that children should be allowed to experience their own stage of development and feel successful at learning without pressure, and that play is a critical factor in all facets of children’s development. The program notes that it is through play that children can acquire knowledge of their environment and express or represent what they know or imagine. Bright Beginnings states that providing quality childcare is a community effort and that the program is there to work with families to help children thrive in a fun, engaging, and safe environment. Director Jaime Naddeo states, “It has always been my dream to be able to teach children on a day-to-day basis the love of learning.”
