Downtown United Soccer Club Programs

Downtown United Soccer Club Programs focus on soccer for youth players. The program includes options ranging from Mini Ballers classes, which begin at age 3, to highly competitive U23 men’s and women’s teams. It is part of Downtown United Soccer Club, which identifies itself as the most comprehensive soccer club in NYC and offers programs for players of all ages, genders, and backgrounds.

Downtown United Soccer Club was established in 1982. It is organized as a 501c(3) not-for-profit entity with a mission to educate, train, and inspire youth soccer players of all ages and abilities in a positive, respectful, supportive environment, and to foster a community that reflects the diversity of New York City in which children can develop a lifelong love for soccer and realize their full potential as both players and people. The club serves approximately 5,000 participants annually in Downtown Manhattan and the greater New York City area. One testimonial shared by the program is a quote from coach Marcelo Bielsa: “A good coach is one who helps his players maximize or discover their potential. That is his principal function.”
