New Victory Education presents live theater, dance, spectacular circus, magic, music, opera and puppetry performances for young audiences. The program features work selected from hundreds of live productions each year for the New Victory stages.

• Price: At school performances, student tickets still cost only $2 a ticket, and seats for public shows often start as low as $25.
New Victory Education is part of New Victory, which is powered by the nonprofit New 42. The New Victory mission is to open new worlds to young people and families through extraordinary performances, education and engagement programs. Every year, New Victory provides more kids with more live performing arts in more grades than any other arts organization in New York City. New Victory is committed to arts access for all communities of New York to experience and engage with exemplary international shows on its stages. Through a special ticket initiative with the New York City Housing Authority, 2,000 free tickets are provided to low-income families each season.
Artistic Programming is under the leadership of Artistic Director Mary Rose Lloyd. Bringing kids to the arts and the arts to kids since 1995, New Victory operates in New York’s oldest operating theater, which was built in 1900.
New 42 and New Victory have been honored by the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities with the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award, by Americans for the Arts with an Arts Education Award, and by the Drama Desk for “providing enchanting, sophisticated children’s theater that appeals to the child in all of us and for nurturing a love of theater in young people.” In 2025, New 42 received a Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre.
